BRAIDED MECHANICAL COMPRESSION PACKING

ASI has formed an alliance with a major packing manufacturer to offer quality compression packing at highly competitive prices. All twelve styles of ASI packing are available in one, two, five and ten pound boxes, as well as twenty-five pound spools. These styles are also available in die-formed packing sets, built to custom specifications.

High purity graphite yarn blend, designed to be virtually leak free (reducing flush water usage). Self-lubricating packing with low friction and excellent heat dissipation. Ideal for use in high temperature pump or valve applications.

Braided from continuous Kevlar® filament impregnated with PTFE and an inert lubricant. Easy to cut and install, with excellent braid retention. Non-staining, non-contaminating packing with excellent heat dissipation properties. The Kevlar® fiber’s high tensile strength provides superior performance in slurry service or in any service where the media is highly aggressive.

Blended carbon yarns impregnated with a blocking agent and high purity graphite flakes. Low leakage, self-lubricating packing ideal for use with severely caustic or corrosive media. Suited for most high speed/temperature pump or valve applications.

Braided from genuine GFO® fiber, a filament yarn made from finely ground particles of high quality graphite encapsulated in a Teflon® matrix to eliminate graphite migration, and Kevlar® corners for superior abrasion resistance. For use in valves, centrifugal pumps, rotary pumps and reciprocating pumps. Ideal for most corrosive and abrasive applications.

Braided from lubricated PTFE/Graphite filaments which ensure high heat dissipating qualities of graphite and superior chemical resistance of PTFE. Self-lubricating, low friction, economic alternative to most PTFE/Graphite packings, suitable for general service applications. Break-in lubricant provides low shaft wear while maintaining good packing to shaft contact.

Braided from genuine GFO® fiber, a filament yarn made from finely ground particles of high quality graphite encapsulated in a Teflon® matrix to eliminate graphite migration. Combines heat dissipation with chemical resistance allowing use in valves, centrifugal pumps, rotary pumps and reciprocating pumps.

Inconel® wire inserted fiberglass over core protected with a graphite blend surface coating. Also contains a corrosion inhibitor to internally protect the valve from oxidation and is an economic substitute for expensive steam packings. Ideal for use as a high temperature/high pressure valve stem or expansion joint packing.

High purity graphite yarn blend, reinforced with high strength carbon filament. Superior extrusion resistance, extremely low shaft wear and excellent heat dissipation. Typically used for high temperature and pressure applications.

100% PTFE filament, thoroughly impregnated with a PTFE suspensoidal blocking agent and lubricating oil to ease friction during start-up and operation. Soft, dense, stable packing ideally suited for chemical process pumps where extreme chemical resistance and low shaft friction are required.

Continuous Acrylic blend braided fiber with high temperature lubricant impregnation. A dense, flexible general service packing, pre and post lubricated with a high purity graphite flake. Used in most steam, salt water, oil, and mild acid or alkali applications.

A braided blend of Flax and Ramie fibers, lubricated with a Tallow and Wax blend. An economical, low friction general service packing, especially resistant to cold water, seawater, and cold oils. Also used in a variety of pulp and paper, marine, and wastewater applications.
